Statue of Charles John Canning, Earl Canning, Governor-General and first Viceroy of India. Born 14 Dec. 1812 and died 17 June 1862. The statue was formerly placed on the maidan in Calcutta but is now located in the grounds of the former Viceroy's House at Barrackpore.
