- Maharajah's Well, Stoke Row, Oxfordshire

A well constructed in the mid 1880s at the residence of EA Reade, then acting governor general of the United provinces. It was funded by the Maharajah of Benares. This was the first of several in the region. All were funded by royals and other benefactors from India, inspired by the Maharajah of Benares's example. - Archway
