Memorial to Brigadier-General Sir Henry Havelock in the Alumbagh Memorial Gardens near Lucknow. Havelock with Sir James Outram was responsible for the first Relief of Lucknow on 25th September 1857. Memorial at the site of the Battle of Plassey which took place on 23rd June 1757. The Battle of Plassey took place on 23rd June 1757 between the forces of Siraj-ud-Daula, Nawab of Bengal and the British forces of Robert Clive (Clive of India), supported by those of Mir Jaffa who, after the battle, displaced Siraj as Nawab of Bengal.
